AXA has announced that it has acquired Laya Healthcare. Laya has a 28% share of the Irish health insurance market with 690,000 members.

AXA is one of the main companies in Ireland providing car insurance. It also offers home, commercial and farm insurance. Under the terms of the agreement, AXA has paid 650 million euro to acquire Laya.
