  • A new study, which aims to investigate the use of complementary and alternative medicines among people who have, or have had, cancer, is looking for participants.

The study is being carried out by researchers at University College Cork (UCC) and is funded by the Irish Cancer Society (ICS). It is hoping to recruit as many current cancer patients and survivors as possible between now and February 2021.

The researchers hope that the results of this study will help healthcare professionals to better support the needs of people with cancer.

Participants will be asked to complete a survey. This can be done online or by telephone and should take around 45 minutes to complete.

There will also be an opportunity to participate in a follow-up interview for anyone who is interested.

You can sign up for the survey here, or if you would like more information, contact the study coordinator, registered dietitian, Erin Sullivan, at 085 133 3050 or erin.sullivan@ucc.ie.
